Called to Edify Boutique Tea(Tee) Time Series
In the world there are many different ways to use the word tea. There is the tea you drink and the tea you spill when you are gossiping about a situation that you shouldn’t be gossiping about. They have entire shows about spilling the tea and tearing down and not building up. Well the tea that I am about to spill in each one of these blogs post will be for the purpose of edification. So my tea will be about the stories behind the reason why these tees were created. These stories will be pleasing to all who read it, encouraging from the word of God, and truth written in love in line with the following scriptures:
- Romans 15:2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
- 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
- Ephesians 4:15-16 but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
All the tea that I will be spilling is all about the faith, hope, love, and Sovereignty of God through each post. Fill free to pour a cup of your favorite tea as you read and are edified by these posts.
Pray Hard Tee
I thought I would spill the tea about each t-shirt in order but I decided against this format. I chose to instead focus on the ones that are currently having the most impact on my life. It turned out to be at the moment the Pray Hard T-Shirt. Now, when I first did this design I was going to use my same font that I always use but my amazing husband encouraged me to use a more edgy font. I listened to his advice and was very pleased with the results and so were our customers. But when I actually started wearing the shirt that’s when I started to get more acquainted with what it means to Pray Hard. First the Pray Hard T-Shirt is based off the scripture verse from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances for this is the will of God.
During that month my husband went into the hospital, subsequent doctor’s visits to find out what was wrong, and two business prospects didn’t go the way we planned. During this time as I struggled with worry but the Lord kept saying rejoice, give thanks, and keep praying. It was often difficult to keep giving thanks and praying when I couldn’t see how the prayers would be answered but I just kept on praying even when I didn’t want to or felt like it. I wasn’t always good at it and I did worry a lot more that I should have during this time but the Lord still answered my requests in His way and in His time and for this I am truly thankful.
When I look at the Pray Hard T-Shirt I am reminded to continue to pray hard during the joyous times and also during the storm, be thankful for all that you have, and rejoice because He is God and He is enough.
How can I pray for you?
Let me know in the comments.
